Choosing the right therapist for you or your child is critical and you should feel that there is a good ‘fit’ with the person you choose to work with. As an introduction, we begin with a free, initial 30 minute meeting that allows us to explore treatment goals and what you hope to achieve from therapy and to answer any questions there may be about how we might work together.
We proceed by exploring what brings you into therapy and address your needs accordingly as they evolve. Together we will develop a treatment plan. We will also agree on a day and time for your weekly sessions. Regular weekly therapy sessions are usually 50 minutes in length, at $160 per session (charged at the time of the session; a minimum of 24 hours advance notice of cancellation is required or the full fee will be applied).
Endings in therapy work best when they are thought through together and will play out differently for each individual. Our objective is to allow the therapy to evolve organically so that you can feel when the time is right to end therapy. This is a time when new insights have been gained and treatment goals have been met.
